Jenna Bush Gets Married

Poor Girl has her dads nose

The sounds of wedding bells are getting a little louder in Central Texas as the president gets ready to give his daughter's hand in marriage this weekend.

Jenna Bush and fiancé Henry Hager will tie the knot on the president's 1,600-acre ranch in Crawford.

The small town of about 700 is getting ready to host the wedding of the year.

"This week we've been preparing for the wedding, ordering souvenirs," said Jamie Burgess, owner of the Red Bull Souvenir shop.

Burgess' store was stocked Wednesday with coffee mugs, key chains and mouse pads, all bearing the couple's picture and the wedding date.

Yet the souvenirs may be as close as you get to the first family's wedding.

After all, there's a strict guest list of just more than 200.

"The president and the first lady are normal people, and children do get married," Burgess said. "They're having a small wedding for family and friends."

Still, the Red Bull Shop will serve cake and punch to celebrate, and the angel that stands downtown will be decorated for the occasion.

"It's been really crazy, but we've had a lot of business, which is really good, and a lot of out-of-towners," said Ashley Guerrero, an employee at Crawford's Coffee Station.

The bustle at the Coffee Station and downtown is starting to wind down, however.

"It may be the last big visit as he is president," Burgess said.

A few souvenir shops are already out of business, a sign that this wedding could be the end of the road for Crawford's tourist fame.

"I'm sure the same will happen here," said Kenneth Judy, a member of the Crawford Chamber of Commerce. "We're still hopeful that he will keep the ranch, and we'll get to see him a little bit as the days go by."

Jenna Bush and her fiancĂ© Henry Hager will have their wedding this weekend, May 10th. The wedding will take place at the President’s ranch in Texas and will be a small ceremony.

The couple opted for a smaller wedding on Jenna’s family’s ranch because they wanted to keep it more private and not full of people taking wedding pictures.

The Prairie Chapel ranch is a gated 1,600 acre paradise where the ceremony and reception can be held in seclusion. Although I am sure paparazzi will be all over trying to get those wedding photos.

As far as the details for the Jenna Bush wedding we know that the bride will wear a Oscar de la Renta gown with a small train. 200 friends and family will joining the couple for an outdoor ceremony which includes dinner and dancing. Jenna’s twin sister, Barbara is the maid of honor. Barbara has been a huge part of the wedding, knowing that Jenna was going to get engaged before she did. Barbara also helped Henry Hager pick out the engagement ring. The diamond is a Hager heirloom, Henry had reset beside two sapphires. Jenna also has 14 attendants, as members of the “house party.”

The President gave out details of the wedding, saying the “I do’s will take place near a lake, in front of a giant limestone cross, which is a landmark at the ranch. He also said,

“I am thrilled for Henry and Jenna, knowing how great marriage can be.”
