Aspergers Disease Neurological Disorder
Aspergers disease basically is a neurological condition that is commonly known as autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The symptoms that are commonly visible in the children suffering from Asperger's disease or in other words Asperger's syndrome is delay in learning motor skills.
People suffering from Aspergers disease have movements that are clumsy and uncoordinated specially during climbing outdoor or while pedaling a bike. The children with classic autism generally suffer from problems related with verbal and nonverbal communications such as lack of eye contact, few facial expressions or awkward body postures and gestures. Moreover, the patients with high Aspergers syndrome develop high level of vocabulary and formal speech patterns.
Those afflicted with Aspergers disease will generally show an intense obsession with one or two specific or narrow subjects like baseball statistics, train schedules, weather or snakes. They tend to become fascinated about any single topic and their conversations with others thus slightly deviate from the normal behavioral patterns.
It is important to note that the children with Aspergers disease are often isolated due to their poor social skills and narrow range of interests. They have an inclination to make the normal conversations impossible by their inappropriate or eccentric behavior or may be due to their eagerness to talk only about their singular interest. The research says that this is not actually a disease but more of a neurological condition that many children have. The term disease can imply wrong connotations or the wrong impression about this typical condition.
Aspergers disease is a developmental disorder in which children typically exhibit social awkwardness. It affects a child's normal ability to socialize and have effective communication with others.
Thus children suffering from Aspergers disease reflect an all-absorbing interest in specific topics. They will not appear as understanding, sympathetic or sensitive to others' feelings but will have a hard time reading other people or understanding humor. When one is affected by this diseases he or she often speaks in a monotonous, rigid or unusually fast voice with challenging behavioral display, which they cannot deal effectively. The best way to counter these problems is to establish a complete A-B-C analysis. This essentially includes an analysis of the Antecedent, Behavior and the Consequences.
Aspergers disease afflicted patients can really be helped once we have identified the basic cause of the behavior. Moreover the child with Aspergers disease will need a consistent and effective behavioral program or method of intervention simply to create more challenging behaviors. It becomes really difficult to diagnose the young children with this disease as the language and cognitive skills remains are still in a developing process. However the faster it is detected the easier it is to treat. Aspergers disease
