San Antonio Couple Arrested for trying to Whore out their 5 year old daughter

A San Antonio couple is accused of trying to trade sex with the woman's 5-year-old daughter for an apartment, a used car and child care for her 10-month old daughter. Jennifer Richards, 25, is charged with using interstate facilities to transmit information about a minor. Her married boyfriend, Sean Michael Block, 40, is charged with distributing child pornography. Richards and Block crafted a deal that, in addition to the apartment and used car, included child care for Richards' infant

daughter, whose sexual service the couple intended to sell later, the FBI's lead agent on the case, testified. Block's lawyer acknowledged the severity of the charges, but said there was no evidence that the behavior progressed beyond Block's fantasy.

A 25-year-old woman and her 40-year-old boyfriend offered her 5-year-old daughter for sex to an FBI informant in exchange for an apartment and a used car, an affidavit stated.

Jennifer Richards is charged with using interstate facilities to transfer information of a minor. She was scheduled to make an appearance in federal court Friday but it was continued until Tuesday.

Richards' boyfriend, Sean Michael Block, is charged with distribution of child pornography and was scheduled to make a court appearance Friday afternoon.

The pair was arrested Tuesday following an investigation by the FBI that Richards and Block were prostituting the child.

According to the affidavit, an informant told the FBI about a text message allegedly sent by Block reading: "Nice piece 5 yrs old belongs to my gf and she wants to sell it."

The informant later recorded a phone conversation with Richards, who authorities said was when she made the offer, the affidavit stated.

Block was married at the time of the investigation, said Jean Brown, an attorney representing the suspect's wife.

"My client was contacted by the FBI at her job and was told a little bit about what her husband's activities were," Brown said. "She was completely blindsided. She had no idea of the double life this man was leading."

Brown said that Block and his wife had been married two years and had a 14-month-old daughter.
