A 22-year-old woman, who is going by the pseudonym, "Natalie Dylan", is reported by The Insider to be planning to put up her virginity for auction. The sale of Ms. Dylan's virginity will take place at Nevada's famous brothel, the Bunny Ranch.
"Natalie Dylan" has undergone a polygraph test and is willing to undergo a medical exam to prove that she actually has virginity to sell. She hopes to raise a million dollars and thus obtain a degree of financial security.
"Natalie Dylan" is not the first woman in modern times to offer her virginity for sale. A few years ago, a British student named Rosie Reid offered her virginity on Ebay to help pay for college bills. Rosie Reid, who is also a lesbian, got bid of up to ten thousand British pounds for the privilege of relieving her of her virginity.
Ebay is apparently not longer allowing these kinds of auctions, hence the use of the Bunny Ranch as a bidding site.
One does not know whether to deplore the lack of morals of "Natalie Dylan" or to express astonishment at her inflated ego at the idea that her virginity is worth a million dollars. The only time one is aware of anyone actually paying a million dollars for sex was in a movie with Robert Redford and Demi Moore and Redford was playing a rather sick eccentric who got off more on being able to corrupt a young couple in financial straits rather than in the actual sex.
In ancient times, in some cultures, young girls would sell their virginity in temples for a gold coin as a means of honoring the goddess of fertility. Anyone could walk up to her, toss a coin in her lap, and she was his for a pass time of pleasure, at least for him.
In modern times, a girl will usually surrender her virginity out of love, or at least what she thinks is love. True love is in one sense cheaper that the money "Natalie Dylan" is asking for and in another sense far more valuable. She will remember her first time as a kind of sordid financial transaction, without meaning beyond the exchange of money.

A pretty 22-year-old graduate of Sacramento State College is auctioning off her virginity to help pay for her studies. "I don't think auctioning my virginity will solve all my problems, but it will create some financial stability," says the attractive brunette (who uses the pseudonym Natalie Dylan for safety reasons).
Dylan says she has already taken a polygraph test to prove she's a virgin and is willing to undergo a medical exam as well. "I'm ready for the controversy," she says. "I'm ready to do this."
Natalie hopes to net up to $1 million dollars from the auction, which will take place in Nevada at the infamous Moonlight Bunny Ranch, a legalized brothel (eBay turned her down).
"I'm not just looking for the highest bidder," says Dylan. "I'm looking for someone who is a genuine, overall nice person." Ironically, Natalie has a bachelor's degree in Women's Studies from Sacramento State and wants to pursue a master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy.
Dylan says she has no moral issues with auctioning off her virginity. "I don't have a moral dilemma with it," Dylan tells The Sun. "We live in a capitalist society. Why shouldn't I be allowed to capitalize on my virginity? I understand some people may condemn me. But I think this is empowering. I'm using what I have to better myself," she added. Meanwhile, radio shock job Howard Stern has denied reports that he is affiliated with the auction.
