Travis Barker and Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein severely burned in Plane Crash that Killed 4 others

Travis Barker And DJ AM were two of six people in a plane crash last night in Columbia, South Carolina. Initial reports say four people were killed. Travis Barker and DJ AM survived, they were taken to a nearby hospital. The four people killed in the crash haven’t been identified.

They were coming from the Five Points block party. If you look at the list of names, it’s very possible that one of the other performers were on the plane.

How did this happen? FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said their Learjet was taking off for Van Nuys, California, when air traffic controllers reported seeing sparks. The plane never got in the air: it ran off the runway, crashed through a gate into a nearby road and burst into flames

Seeing as the crash happened last night and it’s just beginning to be reported, makes me think there can’t be good news regarding the others on the flight. No one wants to speculate about who else was on the jet.

Former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and singer-song artist Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein were in critical condition with extensive burns Saturday after a jet crash the night before that killed four people, authorities said.

Two of the four who died late Friday were passengers and two were crew members, the National Transportation Safety Board said in a statement.

The NTSB has sent a Go Team to Columbia, South Carolina, to investigate the crash.

The Learjet 60 crashed on takeoff at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport at 11:53 p.m. Friday.

Beth Frits, spokeswoman at the Joseph Still Burn Center, in Augusta, Georgia, said Barker and Goldstein arrived at the hospital early Saturday. She said both men had "extensive burns."

The burn center is the largest in the country, and the main one in the Southeast, she said.

The Lear 60 aircraft was departing an airport in Columbia, South Carolina late Friday night when traffic controllers reported seeing sparks from the vehicle. The jet reportedly failed to lift off, went off the runway and crashed into a nearby road. The Learjet was headed to Van Nuys, California.
It appears the plane was attempting to take off, ran off the runway, through a fence, and hit an embankment along Highway 302. The plane then caught fire, according to reports.

Federal officials say two crew members and two passengers were killed.

Barker had performed that night at an event alongside former Jane's Addiction singer Perry Farrell, singer Gavin DeGraw and DJ AM. There is no word yet if Farrell and DeGraw were traveling on the plane.

Travis Barker is currently the drummer for Plus 44 and previously played in both the The Aquabats and most famously Blink 182

A representative for Barker and DJ AM said she had no information the crash.

After Blink 182, Barker went on to form the rock band (+44) — pronounced "plus forty-four." He starred in the MTV reality series "Meet the Barkers" with former Miss USA Shanna Moakler, to whom he was married at the time. The show documented the former couple's lavish wedding and life.

Goldstein at one time was engaged to celebrity Nicole Richie.
